Once your project is picked, you will be selected for round two. The next series of voting begins until a final grand prize winner is chosen.

To start, all you need is a team of 1-5 people. Next, you will need to come up with a killer project that will solve a problem. In your video, you should keep your pitch simple and explain your concept. You don’t need any fancy technology or gimmicks to get your point across. The idea is for EOS Hackathon to get to know you and your team.

Of course, you will need to make sure your video is of high-quality with no glitches or mistakes. Although it is not recommended to script your video, it is essential to do a test before submitting the final to YouTube.

Once your video is complete, you need to make sure you use #EOSHackathon and submit your video by May 16th.

After you have your video up, go to the website and fill out their form. There is a $10 registration fee. But the prizes are well worth the initial price. Now all you have to do is get that video in front of as many eyes as possible. The winner will be determined based on the views from their YouTube channel as well as the votes received from the website.

EOS Hackathon Event Prizes

EOS Hackathon will be giving away a stipend of $2,000 for a winning team member or $10,000 if the entire team will be traveling to Hong Kong. The grand prize is $500,000 and the chance to sit down with Block.one and EOS VC to bring your vision to life.

There are also in-person prizes ranging from first to third place. The first place winner will receive $100,000 cash plus travel expenses paid. Second place will earn you $25,000 and travel expenses, and third place wins $10,000 plus travel. Three honorable mentions will receive $3,000 cash.
