Ether.Online: Pet Rush ETH Cryptocurrency Blockchain Game?

If you like games and are also interested in blockchain technology, there is a good chance  you might be interested in Ether Online. Ether Online is a game that you can play using the blockchain to earn rewards and prizes.

To play this game, you need to download the Metamask program and install it in your browser. Ether Online is an MMORPG based on the blockchain in which you own your assets and are able to buy and sell them whenever you want. You can create your character, buy equipment, pets and get ready for the battles.

What Do You Need To Play Ether Online?

You can play this game both on a desktop computer or on a mobile device. On a desktop, you have to use either Chrome or Firefox and install the MetaMask plug-in. On mobile, you have to use either the Cipher or the Toshi app.

MetaMask will work as your digital wallet for the game. You have to create an account and then have an Ethereum wallet to play. Players from the United States will be able to get Ethereum from the MetaMask, but players from anywhere else will have to get it via other sources like exchanges.

After you already have ETH, you will be able to buy your equipment to play the game. The assets are not cryptocurrencies and you can only buy them using ETH.

How Does The Equipment Work On Ether Online?

To be prepared to play Ether Online, you need equipment. Equipment can be acquired in two different ways. You can either get the equipment by opening chest or trading with another player.

The chests require an amount of ETH or GAS to be opened and can have items that can be Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic or Legendary. The more rare the item, the stronger that it will be. If you want to sell or buy equipment, you can go to the marketplace and meet other players. The price of the equipment is never fixed as you can only get it from loot boxes or at the market price in the marketplace.

You can also craft your own items. If you three sets of Common Chainmail, for instance, you can craft them (by paying some ETH) into an Uncommon Chainmail. Because of this, it might not be a bad idea to keep items that you already have. If you get complete sets of the same type of equipment, you will also get bonuses.

You can also buy pets. Pets are legendary creatures that can boost your stats during fights. You can only buy the pets during the pre-launch event in which the pets are being sold by values that range from 0.66 to 0.99 ETH, so you will only have one chance to buy them.

How Do the Battles On Ether Online Work?

You can start battles with other players at the time that you want by going into the Battle tab and selecting an opponent or by being challenged. The higher your stats are, the better you will fight. Battles will give you an amount of XP that you can use to make your character better. There is also a leaderboard with the best players in the community.

You can also battle monsters in the world to get rewards or look for event bosses, which can reward you with even better gifts.

Ether Online Conclusion

This game is definitely targeted for a specific audience. If you like MMORPGs which are not really too in-depth or if you are looking to grind in this game to make money, it can be a good choice. The game definitely does not have the depth of paid games like World of Warcraft or Guild Wars 2, so if you want that, forget it.

In case you are looking for an investment, just be somewhat wary of buying too many items. There is still no way to tell if the game will be successful enough for you to be able to profit from selling the items.
