Ethereum Inactive Dapps Surpass Combined Inactive Ones of EOS & Tron by 284%

Just recently, we reported how in the past week of April, Tron was the one leading the Dapps pack in terms of new additions and active weekly users. However, this time we will be talking about Ethereum leading the Dapp space in terms of both active and inactive number of Dapps.

According to the latest data shared by Coin360, the inactive Dapps that are determined on the basis of not seeing any transactions within the week of April 8th and April 15th, in total including those of Ethereum, EOS, and Tron blockchain amounts to 1604 Dapps which is more than 3 times of the total active ones.

Meanwhile, the total number of active Dapps between these three blockchains is just 448 which is less than 1156 dapps than the inactive ones.

Though Tron has been leading the Dapp ecosystem, Ethereum is still at the top with 178 active Dapps followed by 150 dapps on EOS blockchain and then Tron blockchain.

When it comes to EOS, its inactive dapps at 219 are more than its active ones at 150, unlike Tron blockchain that has inactive dapps lower at 112 than the active dapps at 120.

Just like Ethereum is leading with active dapps, it is at the front and center when it comes to inactive dapps as well, even more so. With 1273 inactive dapps on Ethereum blockchain, it is 11 times that of Tron’s inactive dapps and 8 times of dapps on EOS blockchain. Moreover, it is about 3.8 times more than the combined inactive dapps on both Tron and EOS blockchain.

Per the Q1 2019 report of DApp.com, Ethereum is still a favored blockchain among the developers as more than half of 504 DApps added to its list are Ethereum-based.

“It shows that Ethereum is still the No.1 choice for developers to build their dapp on. At the same time, we also have seen a trend in multi-chain developing, as many Ethereum dapps expand on multiple chains, such as Ethereum + EOS or Ethereum + Tron.”

Tron Working On Dominating The Dapp Space

Tron has yet to take the first position when it comes to the number of dapps but it is already at work as Justin Sun, the founder of Tron and CEO of BitTorrent recently revealed his plans to launch 2,000 dapps on its blockchain by the end of the year.

Sun also explained how the introduction of Tron-based USDT will help it in becoming a leader in Dapps.

“As we introduce this new stablecoin, I … firmly believe it will accelerate our push to be the leading platform for developers of dApps. We already have nearly 300 [dApps] on TRON in just a few months, and we aim to get to 2,000 by the end of this year. More people will be able to engage with these dApps as it’s a lot easier for people to understand and use a stablecoin in a consumer-facing use case.”

In its blog post, Tron Foundation, an organization focused on the development of Tron shared that price instability in the cryptocurrency market that is creating a

“lot of skepticism about the long-term prospects of the blockchain industry.”

And institutional investors along with companies are sitting on the sideline because of the extreme volatility of crypto assets prices which its Tron-based stablecoin USDT will help in bringing stability.
