eToro To Become British Premier League’s Everton Football Club ‘Official Online Trading Partner’
- Late last month, Italian soccer club — AS Roma — signed an agreement with Chilliz, a blockchain entertainment firm so as to make use of this burgeoning technology in a host of novel/unique ways.
- Additionally, as part of the above-mentioned deal, the club will now become part of a blockchain-based voting platform called Socios (that is also backed by Chiliz).
As per an official announcement made by the folks over at Everton Football Club — one of Britain's top tier soccer teams — the organization has just inked a deal with crypto invest+trading platform ‘eToro’.
A closer look at the above-linked statement shows us that eToro will now serve as Everton’s official
“online trading partner”.
In this regard, it bears mentioning that there will be advertisements for the crypto platform now being displayed at the team’s home stadium — Goodison Park. Talking about this latest development, Everton’s commercial director Alan McTavish was recently quoted as saying:
“[I am] excited to see what can be achieved by bringing blockchain technology into the world of football.”
eToro, as a platform, is designed to support investments related to stocks, commodities as well as crypto assets.
In addition to Everton, it is being reported that eToro has also signed deals with six other British football clubs for the 2019–2020 season.
A few months back, eToro launched a crypto exchange portal devised especially for professional traders called ‘eToroX’. As per data available online, the trading platform supports bulk exchange for a host of different digital currencies including Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Bitcoin Cash, etc.
If that wasn’t enough, the exchange also recently launched a total of eight stablecoins that are backed by their corresponding national fiat currencies.
