eToro’s Crypto ATM Karaoke Machine Gives Away Free BTC for 10th Bitcoin Birthday
Bitcoin’s 10th Birthday Song
Global investment platform eToro has fared well since its inception. Currently, it features over ten million registered users and now, it is working to enable the British public to properly celebrate Bitcoin’s 10th anniversary by giving away 10,000 pounds of cryptocurrency by a song-activated ATM.
The ATM awakens when people sing “Happy Birthday.” Though who successfully sing the song are set to receive vouchers that are worth anywhere from 20 to 250 pounds. In addition to the free reward, the singing is captured by the machine and is then uploaded to social media. When uploaded to social media, participants may be able to win an additional 1,000 pounds.
The machine itself is quite unique and may be the first of its kind. Developed by computer programmers, sound engineers, and technology experts, the ATM features audio and voice technology and recognizes specific melodies sung to it. Further, the machine notifies singers the loudness of their voice and the remainder of the song needed to activate disbursement of the voucher.
According to Iqbal Gandham of eToro,
“Bitcoin has demonstrated resilience over the past decade and remains the world’s dominant crypto. In the next 10 years, we could well see the mass adoption of bitcoin for payments and money transfer.”
“Currently, the level of understanding of crypto is one of the barriers to wide-scale user adoption of, and investment in, cryptoassets. It’s a barrier that we’ve looked to address at eToro as part of our vision of opening up global markets to everyone. Our ATM machine is a fitting and fun celebration of bitcoin’s 10-year anniversary, and one that we hope will give even more people the opportunity to learn about crypto.”
