Exchanges Report Drastic Differences in XRP Pricing, Ranging from $0.32 to $0.77
- CMC and BitBay are reporting values worth a $0.23 difference on XRP.
- Crypto Twitter users discuss the lack of continuity.
With all of the reports lately of price reporting platforms falsifying volumes, the need for honest reporting is becoming more and more important. However, two exchanges are reporting drastically different pricing on the XRP token right now – CoinMarketCap and BitBay.
CoinMarketCap was recently criticized over rumors that their volumes have been blown up, but the difference between the values is a new problem. According to CMC, XRP has seen a spike of over 2% in the last 24 hours. Right now, Ripple (XRP) is seeing a valuation of $0.3106 per coin, while BitBay is reporting $0.54, which is a major difference.
It is not uncommon for cryptocurrencies to see a difference in the values but inflating the price by nearly twice over is an entirely different story. One Twitter user noticed the differences, asking why the value is so much higher with the latter exchange.

According to BitBay, the highest value that XRP has seen has been at $0.77 per token, and May 3rd’s recorded trading volume appears to be $13,049. However, the cryptocurrency exchange states that there has been a 41.82% decrease in the price.
With Binance, the exchange reports a peak of $0.3255, including a correction. Still, it is worth pointing out the coin has not had impressive year for performance since the start of the year. With the differences in price, the only thing to do is to follow the lowest price and sell at the highest, unless these exchanges balance out.
While the price of XRP is at $.30 with a market cap of $12.7 Billion and trading volume of $890K, the price of bitcoin is currently at $5,780 with a market cap of $102 billion and trading volume of $15.98 billion.
