Facebook Looking To Fill Finance Manager Position For Crypto Project, Libra
As social media platform, Facebook continues to share specs on their recent crypto project plans, Libra, it seems like they are also looking to fill in many blockchain-related positions. According to Coin Desk, Facebook is currently in search of a Finance Program Manager for their blockchain endeavors.
Upon visiting the Facebook Careers page, an elaborated description has been provided. In particular, the team is looking to recruit someone who is, “energetic, motivated, solution-focused,” and has the ability to work with both internal and external partners at all levels.
The fit candidate will not only be “planning, leading and executing,” finance projects, but will also be working in teams and collaborating – something that requires the ability to work independently while being able to take in input as well.
Although this position is merely for the company’s blockchain endeavors, it seems like more emphasis is placed on the finance and project management. More specifically, Facebook is looking for someone who has completed a bachelor’s in accounting, finance or a related field while having over eight years of experience in project management. Other qualifications include working in a global environment, having leadership skills and having experience in abiding by best practices, blockchain and system-related implementations.
Coin Desk has also noticed the number of blockchain-related jobs currently open. In particular, Facebook currently has 26 blockchain-related positions, which is an indicator of acceptance of the technology within existing industries.
