Famous BitConnect Promoter Carlos Matos Calls Bitcoin A Scam, Urges Investors To Sell All Holdings
Carlos Matos, the popular promo-maker of the BitConnect (BCC) Ponzi scheme has published a Tweet in which he urges investors to sell Bitcoin (BTC) because its price will ‘never’ go back up.
He wrote the tweet on October 26 and says that Bitcoin is a scam.
Bitcoin Is A Scam. Sell Everything It's NEVER Going Back Up

It is important to mention that BitConnect was a Ponzi scheme that imploded at the beginning of the current year. The scam and fraudulent project promised investors a return of 1% a day on their investment. And indeed, the token they sold to the market was valued close to $450 dollars in January. Additionally, it had a market capitalization of $2.7 billion dollars.
Since the scheme was specifically designed to steal investors’ funds, the platform couldn’t keep operating and individuals investing in the platform lost their funds. And indeed, there were some users that invested their life savings on the platform.
However, there were some individuals such as Carlos Matos that declared that they were convinced about the BitConnect project and proposal. He mentioned that all the warning regarding the platform were lies and that he was able to profit from it.
The cryptocurrency market started to joke about the presentation Matos gave during a show. Several remixes became viral and generated funny reactions. Nevertheless, the situation stopped being funny once the platform fell and cancelled payments. After all, Carlos Matos himself said that he lost his funds ($100 dollars).
At the moment, BitConnect is not listed anymore in CoinMarketCap and it appears in the Dead Coins’ list. BitConnect has also informed that they were going to work on many other projects they were planning during the last years, despite that, there is no information about that.
