- Crypto trading for institutional customers coming in few weeks
Fidelity is all focused on crypto as one of the largest asset managers is currently hiring for 9 positions for its crypto venture Fidelity Digital assets. These hirings are for four different locations including Boston, Salt Lake City, Durham, and Westlake.
According to Fidelity’s Jobs page, four positions involving Product Designer, Product Management Director, Blockchain Software Engineer (FCAT), and Senior Data Engineer are for Massachusetts location. There are two other positions in Boston, Analyst/Senior Analyst for Trade Support and Settlement Operations that are future opportunities in the pipeline.
Another future opportunity as a Customer Service Representative is in Utah while Fidelity is looking for a Vice President, Solutions Architecture in North Carolina, and Vice President of Information Security Officer in Texas.
On this ongoing development, the co-founder of Delphi Digital, Tom Shaughnessy says,
“Major institutions are building and are focused on crypto. Those who are not will be at a major competitive disadvantage over the next decade.”
Fidelity All Pumped Up About Crypto
Earlier last week, it has been revealed that Fidelity Investments new crypto company, Fidelity Digital Assets will begin to offer trading in a few weeks.
Back in October, last year, Fidelity had created its crypto platform. Then in March, this year, it announced a separate custody service to store Bitcoin for its customers.
The 72-year old family-controlled firm is known for managing mutual funds and retirement plans. The financial giant also spends a $2.5 billion per year on technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Just recently, Fidelity released a survey that showed 47 percent of institutional investors believes digital assets are worth investing in while 22 percent of respondents already own a cryptocurrency.
Fidelity is offering the crypto trade to institutional customers providing them the exposure to the leading cryptocurrency.
