FIFA World Cup Tickets Can Be Bought Using Bitcoin Crypto Payments

Football is the most watched sport on the planet and Football World Cup is one of the most watched events on television. There are millions of tickets sold for a world cup event. With the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies, especially in Russia, it only makes sense that the Russian world cup starts accepting it for their ticket sales.

Even though there is no official way to buy tickets through cryptos, there are still ways. Thanks to two companies Wirex and Epayments.

Wirex is going to start reissuing plastic cards in Europe. These prepaid Visa Debit cards can support multiple currency accounts in GBP, EUR, USD, and you guessed it right, BTC! If you want to support FIFA’s official sponsors, this probably is the way to go.

Another way to buy the tickets with cryptos is through Epayments. The card can be filled with bitcoins and they have an added advantage of the support of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), along with Litecoin and Ethereum. The card can also be loaded with fiat (dollars, euros, and even rubles). There is no service fee if you spend 300 Euros a month.

There are plenty of other ways for crypto enthusiasts to spend their digital assets in the world cup. If one is finding ways to spend bitcoin for accommodations, there is a hotel chain in Kaliningrad that accepts it. Apartments Malina has teamed up with the online payment system, Free-Kassa, to allow users to purchase rooms with cryptocurrencies.

If they want to exchange their Bitcoin for Russian Cash there is an option for that too. There is a crypto exchange right in the heart of the Moscow. Although you cannot get as good exchange rates that you can find online.
