Filament Looks to Advance Enterprise Blockchain Standards, Joins Ethereum Enterprise Alliance

Filament has confirmed its membership to the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), the biggest open-source blockchain association in the world. The company, which provides enterprise-grade blockchain solutions for the Internet of Things, will now use Ethereum’s protocol to advance the deployment of their solutions.

Allison Clift-Jennings, the CEO of Filament, said that their solutions support both the Ethereum protocol and the Linux-based Hyperledger Fabric framework. This allows them to be compatible with several blockchain platforms. He noted that the EEA is transforming Ethereum into a technology to promote the adoption of blockchain tech, a cause that Filament is determined to support.

Blocklet, Filament’s flagship solution, provides the necessary tools and infrastructure to enable businesses to use blockchain technology to process data from IoT devices and other smart appliances. So far, Blocklet has been adopted by companies in the automotive, communications and other industries.

Besides, Filament is a member of Hyperledger, an open-source platform supported by the Linux Foundation. Its objective is to promote the development of cross-blockchain solutions.
