Following a blog post on Tuesday, Filecoin has declared the launching dates to be Dec 11 for testnet and mainnet will commence in March the coming year.

The provided windows are considered as estimates and therefore the particular date for mainnet launching could not be declared. Filecoin will provide a space for users to buy unused data storage on associate degree open market. The company anticipates the launch of mainnet during 1-2 quarters after the testnet is launched.
