First Crypto-Funded TV Drama ‘Children Of Satoshi’ Set To Start Filming

While many so-called “financial experts” had predicted that this day would never come, but it has been recently announced that Bitcoin is being used to fund an upcoming TV drama called “Children of Satoshi”. It is the first TV program that will be funded entirely without the use of regular fiat currencies, and the internet is already going mad over it.

About the First Crypto-Funded TV Drama ‘Children Of Satoshi’

Children of Satoshi, as the name suggests, is a crypto based drama that explores the world of alt-coins through a sci-fi lens. It is being made by a UK-based content company called LiveTree Adept, and will be offered to the public as a “six-part series”. The program has been funded entirely by digital currencies, and money will be raised via the use of a token crowdsale.

It is also important to note that the parent production company for this project has teamed up with The 21 Million Project to launch the series globally. The sale of tokens is set to start during the end of January, and pre production will commence on the 5th of February.

Additionally, once all of the filming is completed, the studio plans to make the pilot episode available for public viewing on LiveTree Adept’s new channel, Blossom TV, sometime later in 2018.

What’s The Series All About?

As mentioned previously, Children of Satoshi will be focusing on the “meteoric rise of cryptocurrencies”, and how governments and rich elites go to extreme lengths to stop this phenomenon from spreading. As per the information we have procured, Isabel Anderton (Augustina) will be incharge of direction duties, while Tibo Travers will be producing the series. Each episode will have a grand production budget of around $1.4M .

Other key personnel involved with this project include:

  • David Lofts and John Stahl (Screenplay writers)
  • Youth (Music Producer). He has previously worked on programs such as Killing Joke (where he collaborated with Imogen Heap to create the series’ background score)

Other Important Information

When we got in touch with the screenwriters of this show in regards to the premise of the series, and why it was important to use cryptocurrencies to drive the narrative of the show, David Loft had the following words “We have long had a vision of making films that walk the talk in terms of diversity, fairness, supporting emerging talent and nurturing creativity. We’ve pretty much had to invent our own system to achieve that.

The current industry model rips off artists, writers and crews, with people like Harvey Weinstein walking off with the lion’s share of the money, along with permission to do whatever the hell they like. Livetree Adept is the perfect platform for us to showcase our work. We share a mission to create a fairer, more democratic world for content creators worldwide.”

Similarly, Ashley Turing, the CEO of the parent production company said that her goal is to create premium “TV and Film content” that is funded in a decentralised manner. In a recent interview she mentioned that through this innovative step, her company aims to rewrite the rules of the entertainment industry (especially in regards to how money is procured and distributed evenly amongst involved personnel).
