First Midwest Bank Trust Increases its GBTC Holdings Nearly 4x in Q2

First Midwest Bank Trust Division reported holding 29,498 shares of Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) as of June 30, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The Joliet, Illinois-based financial services company made two lots of purchases, one including 20,655 shares and another having 8,843 shares of GBTC, as per the 13F filing.

The bank had increased its holdings by over 283% from the first quarter of 2021, when it had 7,693 shares of GBTC at the end of March.

With $14 billion assets under management, First Midwest Bank Trust Division is the third-largest independent, Illinois-headquartered bank that provides fiduciary, investment, and private banking services to individual, corporate and governmental clients.
