Flexa and Coinsquare Exchange to Introduce the SPEDN App Outside the US into Canada

FlexaHQ announced a partnership with Canada’s crypto exchange, Coinsquare, to introduce cryptocurrency payments to its first market outside the U.S.

In an official blog post from FlexaHQ, the developer of SPEDN app, announced the launch of cryptocurrency payment solutions across 7500+ merchants in the Great White North. Canadian Android and iOS users will now be able to invest, store, trade and spend multiple cryptocurrencies seamlessly through the Gemini-backed application.

The move to Canada fostered a relationship between FlexaHQ and Coinsquare, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in Canada. The country becomes the first market outside the U.S to experience the convenience and vast network of merchants the SPEDN app provides its users.*UDxK7UpycSkTjolO835UPw.png

Coinsquare aims to increase adoption of crypto across Canada by offering the users a direct payment channel to their favorite merchants. The exchange will enable the

“users to not just buy, sell, and trade crypto, but spend it directly from their Coinsquare balance to 7,500+ merchant locations across Canada!”

The post further states that the introduction of crypto payments to Canada will take place in two major stages. First, Canadian users can access the Flexa network and try out the app on their Android and iOS devices or visiting their SPEDN Shop pop-up at Toronto’s Blockchain Futurist conference today, August 14.

Secondly, users will be able to start purchasing goods and services across a large network of top merchant shops across the country starting September 14.

FlexaHQ’s aims to make cryptocurrency payments instant, safer and easily spendable across the globe and Canada is the first step. The development team looks forward at its goal with the official post reading,

“[This partnership] brings us one step closer to fulfilling our ambition of making cryptocurrency spendable everywhere, and rebuilding payment acceptance for the modern era.”

Since its official launch in May, SPEDN app added a number of cryptocurrencies on the platform including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Gemini Dollar. In July, Coinsquare announced plans to install and upgrade millions of ATMs to buy Bitcoin with cash in the country.
