French Journalist Advocates Crypto Community to Donate Bitcoin for Notre-Dame Rebuilding Process
Yesterday, the world stood and watched as the Cathedral of Notre-Dame was engulfed by the fire. Paris lost an important landmark that day and the whole country was sad that one of the most iconic landmarks of the country had collapsed due to major damages suffered during the fire.
After the incident happened, the president of the country, Emmanuel Macron, has affirmed that the Cathedral of Notre-Dame would be rebuilt again. Two huge companies announced a donation of around $300 million EUR and the president asked the people who could help that they should donate money for the reconstruction.
As soon as he saw the announcement, the crypto journalist Grégory Raymond (@MagazineCapital), has rallied the crypto community to support the reconstruction of the cathedral. According to him, the community should show its support to the world by donating money to be used in the reconstruction.

He released a tweet with an address and a QR code that could be used to send the money to the French government in order to pay for the reconstruction.
According to him, this was a sad moment but also an important opportunity to show the world how Bitcoin can be powerful in order to transfer funds in a completely borderless way without all the mess that centralized authorities generally make.
The crypto community has applauded his efforts in helping during such a dire time. A French Bitcoin community called Le Cercle du Coin (The Circle of Coin) has talked about his tweets saying that they will help, too, and will set up a multi-signature address in order to give more guarantees to donors.
