Fund0x aims to embrace the era of crypto funding by launching a cryptocurrency-focused crowdfunding platform. Find out how it works today in our review.
What is Fund0x?
Fund0x is a crowdfunding platform found online at Fund0x.io. The platform allows users to create a project on the platform or fund a project. Fund0x was created by Matchpool. The Tel Aviv-based company announced the crypto crowdfunding platform in February 2018.
Today, the Fund0x.io website already features a handful of projects available to investors. You can invest in projects using cryptocurrencies.
How Does Fund0x Work?
Fund0x provides investors with the ideal channel for announcing new products and projects. Companies, at the same time, can use Fund0x to raise the funds needed to bring their ideas to the market.
Obviously, there are several other crowdfunding platforms on the market today. Unlike these other crowdfunding platforms, however, Fund0x accepts only cryptocurrencies. The cryptocurrency community can use their hard-earned cryptocurrencies to buy real, innovative products – similar to the products you’d see on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.
Matchpool, the creator of Fund0x, aims to add smart contracts to their crowdfunding platform in the future. The company also seeks to add in-app tools that allow direct communication between creators and potential funders.
As of March 2018, the Fund0x website already features three projects seeking crowdfunding, including Smatch Z, a wireless handheld gaming console, and Nommi, an LTE hotspot for crypto enthusiasts. Fund0x also recently posted the campaign for a device called Ockle, an ultra small PC with a 6-inch touchscreen.
When you visit these product contribution pages, you’ll find an interface that looks similar to Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and other crowdfunding platforms. You’ll see a “pledge” section along the sidebar, for example, that highlights different pledge amounts and rewards. Just like Kickstarter, the more you contribute to the project today, the more bonuses you can expect to receive.
The product page also features a description of the features you can expect on the product, the unique selling points, and a description of the team. Overall, it’s a virtually identical interface to Kickstarter, with the main difference being that you can contribute using cryptocurrencies.
Overall, Matchpool sees Fund0x as a crowdfunding platform where communities can help creators make their dreams come true. The unique distinction with Fund0x is that it only accepts cryptocurrencies.
Who’s Behind Fund0x?
Fund0x was created by Matchpool, a blockchain-based startup focused on building social products. Matchpool was founded with the goal of incentivizing people to positively connect with each other within communities. Today, the company creates matchmaking and social apps built on blockchain technology.
Matchpool maintains its offices in Tel Aviv, although its team is distributed worldwide.
How Do Guppy Tokens Work?
Matchpool created its own digital currency called Guppy tokens, or GUP. These tokens are used to make payments inside the Matchpool app.
It’s unclear if Guppy tokens will be usable on the Fund0x crowdfunding platform. However, Matchpool’s primary use for Guppy tokens is to incentivize matchmakers to correctly match members together on Matchpool apps.
However, there will be some connection between Fund0x and Guppy tokens. In early March, Matchpool announced that it was giving out free Guppy tokens via airdrop to early adopters of fund0x. The tokens are also being distributed through a lottery system.

Fund0x is a crowdfunding platform catered specifically to the cryptocurrency industry. Using Fund0x, you can contribute cryptocurrencies to various projects that interest you. Today, Fund0x features a handful of projects available for investment, including Nommi and Ockle.
To learn more about Fund0x, or to invest in crowdfunding projects today, visit online at Fund0x.io. Overall, you can expect a similar experience to Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and other platforms – but with cryptocurrencies as the medium of exchange instead of fiat currencies and credit cards.
