Fundament Blockchain Security Token Project and $7 Billion German Real Estate Giant Bauwens Partner

Fundament, a blockchain security token company, has recently found a new strategic investor, Bauwens, known as a large real estate company in Germany that has over $7.35 billion in assets. Fundament was created back in 2017 and its main product is the tokenization of real assets using the Ethereum blockchain.

According to Fundament CEO Thomas Ermel, Bauwens acquired a stake of 15% on the company last month and started a project to tokenize some of its real estate assets. As Fundament already worked with the real estate market and tokenization, the companies were a perfect match.

Recently, the company made a $280 million USD real estate bond token sale. Several companies invested in it, including three construction projects from Hamburg and one Frankfurt. According to Ermel, Fundament might consider adding some of the projects created by Bauwens to its digital portfolios.

The partnership was very important because Bauwens is known for being one of the largest project developers in Germany. The company is behind some of the most iconic buildings in the country and has a large variety of projects that can be easily tokenized using Fundament’s system.

Robin Matzke, the co-founder of Fundament, affirmed that Bauwens can provide a wide range of projects, so this was an important partnership that would be very profitable for the future of Fundament.

Alexander Jacobi, managing director at Bauwens, believes that the partnership was a breakthrough for the group and that there are many tokenized real estate bonds to come soon.
