Galaxy eSolutions wants to help customers access the refurbished consumer electronics market. Find out how it works today in our review.

What is Galaxy eSolutions?

Galaxy eSolutions, or GES, describes itself as “a global cross-border ecommerce business that is set to become the market leader in pre-owned and refurbished consumer electronics sector.” The company is headquartered in Hong Kong.

Basically, Galaxy eSolutions wants to sell refurbished consumer electronics to a global marketplace. “Refurbished” refers to used electronics that have been cleaned and repaired. In most cases, refurbished electronics are identical to brand new electronics – but they’ve technically been used before. It’s kind of like buying a certified pre-owned vehicle from a car dealership: you get an extra layer of protection than you would with a private sale.

Today, major retailers like Best Buy have refurbishment programs. Now, Galaxy eSolutions wants to create a refurbishment program that sells consumer electronics worldwide.

Galaxy eSolutions has its own refurbishment facility in China. That facility – called “Furunzi” – is a government-authorized factory. Galaxy eSolutions refurbishes consumer electronics at this factory before selling them worldwide.

How Does Galaxy eSolutions Work?

Galaxy eSolutions aims to create a global marketplace for refurbished, pre-owned smartphones and other consumer electronics. The company repairs and cleans pre-owned consumer electronics, then sells those electronics for a discount rate online.

The entire business process is managed by Galaxy eSolutions. They don’t partner with a refurbishment company to process phones, nor do they partner with an online retailer. Instead, all work is done by the company itself.

Today, Galaxy eSolutions customers can buy refurbished electronics from 26 countries. The company sources, refurbishes, and distributes products itself.

The Galaxy eSolutions platform revolves around the use of GES tokens, which are a form of utility tokens made for the GES ICO.

Galaxy eSolutions Features and Benefits

Obviously, Galaxy eSolutions isn’t the only company operating in the refurbished space. There are a number of similar companies that refurbish consumer electronics, then sell them for discounted rates. So what makes Galaxy eSolutions different? Here are some of the reasons it’s different:

Price:

Galaxy eSolutions emphasizes lower costs because it controls every stage of the refurbishment process. They own a refurbishment factory, and they process all retail transactions themselves. This means they control the price and quality.

13 Month Warranty:

Galaxy eSolutions has a 13 month warranty on all consumer electronics sold through their refurbishment program. They describe this warranty as “unmatched for professionally refurbished electronics” (to be fair, most provide 12 month warranties).

Speed to Market:

Galaxy eSolutions promises to get consumer electronics to the market more quickly than its competitors. Because the company controls the whole supply chain, it’s in full control of all processes required before reaching the market. They don’t need to wait for suppliers or third party refurbishment companies.

Branding:

GES uses its own branding to build consistent consumer expectations across products. This will encourage repeat buying as customers recognize that Galaxy eSolutions is a trusted refurbishment provider.

Galaxy eSolutions Products and Platforms

Instead of selling refurbished electronics through a single consumer-facing website, Galaxy eSolutions operates a number of different platforms, including:

NDBD

NBDB stands for “No Difference, Big Difference”. The name refers to the fact that there’s “no difference” in quality between a refurbished item and a brand new item, but there’s a “big difference” in the price you pay. NBDB specializes in selling professionally refurbished Apple iPhones and DJI drones, among other electronics. In the future, they plan to add Samsung products and MacBooks to their lineup. You can visit the platform online today at ND-BD.com. The site has 30 subdomains that are locally translated and customized to international markets.

YABphones

YABphones offers professionally refurbished iPhones, iPads, and other Apple products. The website is targeted at a younger demographic, and focuses solely on Apple products. You can visit the live website online today at YABphones.com.

Android Reborn

Android Reborn is for general markets that have a preference for Android phones. This site has not yet been launched, but is currently in the test phase with professionally refurbished Android phones. In the future, they’re planning to go live once they secure supply and quality control for Android phones. Eventually, the site will function as its own refurbished Android product retailer.

Mobile Freak

This site, like Android Reborn, is under development. The site will launch with the slogan, “Mobile Freak offers freaking good prices to buy your phones!” (seriously). The site will list phones available for purchase, then list the reasons people wanted to sell those phones. It will have an auction-like environment where sellers can sell smartphones for the highest possible price. Once a smartphone has been sold, the phone is sent to the Galaxy eSolutions refurbishment facility. The company compares Mobile Freak to Aihuishou, a Chinese website with a similar business model that did $170 million USD in sales in 2017.

The Galaxy eSolutions Token Sale

Galaxy eSolutions has scheduled a pre-sale for November 17 to December 7, 2017, with the general ICO scheduled for December 8 to January 15, 2018.

Of the total supply of tokens, 39% is dedicated to the pre-sale, 50% is dedicated to the ICO, 9.5% to Galaxy eSolutions, and 1.5% for bounties.

Galaxy eSolutions is only accepting ETH for its crowdsale. A maximum of 2.8 million GES tokens will be sold. The price will be set at 1 ETH = 100 to 130 GES.

Galaxy eSolutions will have a market buyback and burn model. GES will systematically buy GES tokens from exchanges, then burn them to increase the value of all remaining tokens. 20% of the company’s annual net profit will be used for this buyback and burn program.

Who’s Behind Galaxy eSolutions?

Galaxy eSolutions is led by Yuen Wong (Co-Founder and CEO), Joe Chan (CTO), Erik Hohmann (CMO), and Chris Wong (COO).

The team has been working in the refurbished consumer electronics space since December 2016, when they launched their first website. By January 2017, they were processing 50 orders per day before, then reached 100 orders per day on their refurbished Android website. By March 2017, they were processing $1 million USD in sales each month in 10 countries worldwide.

Today, the company maintains a Chinese government-authorized refurbishment factory (called “Furunzi”) where they refurbish their own consumer electronics in preparation for selling them worldwide.

Galaxy eSolutions Conclusion

Galaxy eSolutions aims to get a slice of the fast-growing refurbishment marketplace. The company maintains a refurbishment factory in China. Consumer electronics – like smartphones – pass through this refurbishment factory. The items that meet Galaxy eSolutions’s standards of quality are sold to consumers through four different retail websites. Galaxy eSolutions offers a 13 month warranty, and consumers can access the same electronics at a significantly lower price.
