Crypto Exchange Gemini Announces Litecoin Support
Litecoin enthusiasts, we have great news for you. The cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has just announced at the Litecoin Foundation, during the Litecoin Summit, that Litecoin (LTC) will start to be supported on the exchange starting October 13.
At the moment, there is no additional information on fees or how the trading will actually work, but it will likely follow the standard procedure on Gemini.
Gemini is a licensed cryptocurrency exchange based in the United States and regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS). The company is focused on crypto trading and custodian services for companies and individuals.
Litecoin (LTC) is one of the oldest cryptocurrencies in the market. This P2P crypto uses open source software and it is very technically alike Bitcoin. The main difference from LTC and BTC, though, is that Litecoin is faster and considerably cheaper than BTC and it uses a different mining protocol: X11.
