Generate Curio Coins Playing New Hedgie Ethereum Blockchain Crypto Collectible Game
Introducing Hedgie – The Newts Cryptocollectible Game on the Ethereum Network
After the success of the CryptoKitties blockchain game, developers have introduced yet another game called Hedgie. Hedgie is a cryptocollectible blockchain-driven game that rewards users in Curio coins that can be redeemed for real world goods and services. It is the first cryptocollectible game that can be bought using a credit card. Currently, the pre sale phase of the project is ongoing, having started on September 25.
According to Stas Zlobinski, the lead developer of Hedgie, games have been using cryptocurrencies for a long period and gamers are known for their readiness to embrace latest technological advancements. Stats mentioned that they were motivated by the increasing number of gaming blockchain projects as well as the desire to extend the value of in-game coins.
Additionally, Zlobinski stated that they intend to attract casual gamer who are interested in digital currencies. By playing, these gamers earn cryptocurrency tokens that are usable in real-life situations. On the other hand, businesses gain access to a new emerging class of clients.
As of now, the most popular cryptocollectible game is CryptoKitties, a game that requires users collect and look after virtual cats. Earlier this month, a player reportedly bought a virtual cat (cryptokitty) for a whopping 600 ETH (approximately $170,000). This is the highest price ever paid for a cat in the game. Unlike CryptoKitties, Hedgies do not have such expensive prices. For now, the game is focusing on accessibility and familiarizing players with its underlying concepts.
Each Hedgie will have four powers namely water, fire, earth, and air, as well as four skills, including luck, prudence, intelligence, and charm. Notably, every Hedgie has a distinctive combination of these abilities, all of which affect its in-game potential. The game also has four virtual games that the Hedgies can access: the Wetlands, the Desert, the Mountains, and the Desert.
The game is currently in the finals stages of development, with the private Alpha version scheduled to launch in Q4 2018. The public trail version will go live in Q1 2019. Curio coins will become usable in physical merchant stores as from next summer.
