Germany on Track to Supplant USA with the Highest Concentration of Active Bitcoin Nodes
Bitcoin nodes in Germany are close to reaching 20p percent of all the nodes all over the world. The United States remains the leader with almost 26 percent of the Bitcoin active nodes. France and the Netherlands follow with 6.3 percent and 5.23 percent respectively.
Could Germany Surpass The US In Active Nodes?
The United States if one of the largest countries around the world, the most powerful economy and a leader in terms of cryptocurrency development. Nonetheless, Germany wins in terms of nodes per 100,000 habs. It is worth mentioning that Germany is one of the richest countries in Europe and there are several companies located in the country that work with virtual currencies and blockchain technology.
In terms of the number of Ethereum (ETH) nodes, Germany is also expanding as well. In this case, the United States remains the country with the largest number of ETH nodes, while Germany is in the fourth position. China and Canada are located in the second and third position respectively.
It is worth mentioning that Ethernodes does not seem to be working so well and it might not even receive maintenance.
Bitcoin nodes show that there are no Asian countries in the top five. China is in the sixth position with 342 nodes or 3.61 percent of the total number of nodes around the world. Singapore is in the seventh position with 302 nodes and 3.18 percent of the nodes.
Berlin is one of the most important hubs for blockchain technology and digital currencies in Europe. There are several startups operating in the city and operating there.
The first country from South America is Brazil in the 28th position with 40 nodes, just 0.42% of the total number of nodes around the world. Meanwhile, South Africa has 21 nodes and it is in the 39th position.
