In North America, Bitcoin fell behind searches for the US President. However, the majority of the rest of the world, apart from some parts of Asia, has Bitcoin has the leading search instead. Compared with the search term were also “Tesla” and “Kim Kardashian,” of which the former surpassed Bitcoin for the last 12 months. At this point, Tesla and Bitcoin are about equal in popularity.

Adding their own details into the mix, ConsenSys reported on some comparisons with Ethereum as well. Over the last 12 months, many terms have beaten out Ethereum, including “climate change,” “Jeff Bezos,” and “Lionel Messi.” At the moment, the only one of those terms that Ethereum is surpassing is Lionel Messi. However, considering that the season is ending and there are not any international tournaments planned for 2019.
