Grayscale Investments Crypto Fund Holds 1.2 Billion Worth In Bitcoin
Grayscale Investments, an investment fund that is focused on cryptocurrencies, has recently published its current holdings and it has revealed that it has a lot of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum Classic (ETC). The report shows that the company has almost $1.4 billion USD in crypto assets at this moment and that over $1.2 billion of these assets is in Bitcoin alone.
The company is known for offering trust investment options for accredited investors in the United States. With its help, people can buy digital assets without actually needing to make the purchase personally, which is used to make the whole process easier. The company is aiming at all the new people that are coming to the market right now.
One of the programs of Grayscale Investments is the Digital Large Cap Fund, which holds about $12 million USD in digital assets like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC). The fund is quarterly rebalanced and it has a total of 1,909,400 shares to be sold.
The company has also recently released plans to launch a new product called ZenCash Investment Trust in the third quarter of 2018. Initially, these services will be offered only to accredited investors but this might change in the future as the lockout period is over.
