Incent (INCNT) Crypto Startup and Gfinity eSports to Integrate Blockchain into Professional Gaming

Incent (INCNT), a cryptocurrency startup project, has teamed up with Gfinity Esports Australia to integrate digital currencies and blockchain technology in the live broadcast of esports tournaments. Gfinity Esports is an Australian company that is currently developing an esports competitions platform. The announcement for this partnership was made via Twitter.

The tweet revealed that Australian fans who watch the Gfinity Elite Series will get rewarded with INCNT tokens. The amount of tokens received is determined by the time and level of engagement with the esports platform. INCNT tokens are based on the WAVES blockchain.

As of now, the Incent blockchain-based crypto rewards platform has 5,000 users and 400 partnering merchants. These merchants offer rewards to Incent users when they shop at their stores. The collaboration with Gfinity is aimed at extending Incent’s services to the esports industry. In this regard, the company has already launched a Twitch live streaming account.

According to Dominic Remond, the CEO of Gfinity Esports Australia, esports and blockchain can operate seamlessly alongside each other. Indeed, there has been an increase in the number of blockchain-driven esports platforms. Most of these platforms offer tokens as rewards to viewers as well as competitors. For example, FirstBlood recently introduced a DApp in which players compete for its native 1ST tokens.
