Indahash aims to tokenize the “influencer” industry, making it easier for online personas to interact with brands. Find out how Indahash works today in our review.
What Is Indahash?
Indahash, found online at Indahash.com, is a marketplace that connects social media influencers with brands. The platform already exists, and it’s one of the largest such marketplaces in the world. However, the company is planning to decentralize its marketplace and create a crypto-economy, which is why they’re launching a token sale in November.
The company’s mission is to tokenize the entire influencer industry to solve major issues between brands, influencers, and their audiences.
The influencer industry is a fast-growing industry. You’ve probably seen social media celebrities promoting random products. Do you ever wonder how that traveler you follow on Instagram can afford her lifestyle? Typically, these people get paid to market products online. They’re “influencers” because they have the ability to influence a significant portion of the internet – their audience.
With that in mind, Indahash wants to connect influencers with brands through a decentralized marketplace and a digital token.
Indahash isn’t just a pipe dream: it’s a real, working app that’s already used by brands and influencers around the world. In fact, Indahash is currently the biggest international platform for influencer marketing campaigns, according to the whitepaper. They have a network of 300,000+ influencers and over 400 clients, including Fortune 500 companies.
How Does Indahash Work?
Indahash wants to create a crypto-economy with Indahash Coins. These coins will circulate between three groups, including brands, influencers, and audiences.
The brand uses the Indahash Coin to pay for marketing campaigns with influencers. When the influencer receives the Indahash Coin, they can exchange it for a brand’s products and receive discounts when shopping, along with early access to novelties.
Influencers can also create their own tokens based on the Indahash Coin, then encourage circulation of that coin within their audience.
The influencer’s audience can use collected tokens and exchange them for exclusive actions that the influencer has created for the community. For example, the influencer might schedule a “meet and greet” for fans in exchange for a certain number of tokens, or send signed prizes to their community.
Basically, here’s how it works for each of the three parties involved in the Indahash platform:
- Brands pay Indahash with fiat currency or IDH coins for ad campaigns (which Indahash will send to influencers)
- Brands can accept money from influencers in exchange for early-access products and services
- Indahash pays IDH coins to influencers in exchange for advertising campaigns
- Influencers can sell IDH coins to Indahash or on exchanges
For The Audience
- Audience members can be rewarded for following an influencer when influencers create their own tokens
- Fans exchange tokens for personalized and exclusive interactions with influencers, including gadgets, meetings, and social activities
Indahash is one of the world’s largest platforms for influencers and brands. The company is led by CEO and co-founder Barbara Soltysinska, who had the idea to automate the collaboration process between influencers and brands. Soltysinska created Indahash has an invitation-only network in 2015.
The company grew quickly throughout 2016, opening offices in Warsaw, London, and Berlin. Eventually, they attracted brands like Huawei, Pepsi, Lay’s, L’Oreal, and many others. Today, their whitepaper lists Heinz, MasterCard, Subway, McDonald’s, Red Bull, Nestle, Ford, Volkswagen, Samsung, Adidas, Merck, T-Mobile, and many other major names.
In 2017, Indahash opened offices in Singapore, New York, Dubai, and Johannesburg. Today, they operate in 70 markets around the world.
The company officially goes by the name IDH Media Limited.
How To Use Indahash
Here’s the basic process of how Indahash works for an app user:
Step 1) Influencers receive a notification and apply to join the campaign via the Indahash app
Step 2) Influencers submit a proposal for the content and description
Step 3) The photo or video goes to the dashboard and is checked by a moderator and the client
Step 4) After approval, posts are published and reach millions of followers
How Does Indahash Coin Work?
Indahash has an existing, popular platform in place. So why do they need the Indahash Coin?
The company plans to create a coin that works as “a global currency for the social media influencer industry which would become the main means of payment for influencers globally.” It’s a utility token that will lead to the creation of a decentralized crypto-economy.
Advertisers can buy Indahash Coins to run campaigns. Influencers can accept Indahash Coins for campaigns. And their audiences can pay with Indahash Coins to access exclusive content, products, or events.
Basically, Indahash wants to tokenize the influencer industry. They plan to introduce features like “Pay With Fame”, which will allow influencers to get discounts on products and services from large brands along with small and medium-sized local businesses.
The number of Indahash Coins will always be limited to 400,000,000 tokens.
The Indahash Coin ICO
The pre-ICO is scheduled for November 8 to November 15, 2017. 80% of Indahash Coins will be available during the pre-ICO (320 million IDH tokens). During the pre-ICO, the tokens are priced at 1 ETH = 4,480 IDH tokens, which is a 40% bonus. There’s a minimum transaction of 0.05 ETH.
The general ICO is taking place in November/December 2017. However, the ICO will only take place if there are still tokens remaining from the pre-ICO. During the main ICO, tokens will be priced at 1 ETH = 3200 IDH tokens (Base rate), although bonuses of up to 20% are available.
The main ICO is scheduled for November 29 to December 20, 2017.
Out of the remaining total supply of Indahash Coins (400 million total), 72 million IDH will go to influencers and market education activities, while 8 million is reserved for a rewards program.
The world of social media influencer advertising has exploded over the past few years. New generations tune out banner ads and television ads. However, they trust product recommendations from people they know – or think they know – like social media personalities. Indahash takes advantage of this growing advertising economy to create a marketplace for brands and influencers.
Indahash is already one of the world’s largest influencer platforms. With their token sale, they aim to create a digital currency that can be used between influencers and their audience, while also allowing brands to purchase campaigns.
