IOST Partners with Chainlink in its Quest to Bring Real-World Data On-Chain for DApp Developers
Just days after IOST’s Blockchain-as-a-Service platform going live on Amazon’s AWS marketplace, plaudits are starting to stream in. IOST, which now has recorded more than 43 million transactions plus well over a quarter million wallets on Mainnet, yet it’s barely two months old, is phenomenal.
We’re excited that @IOStoken is integrating Chainlink oracles to connect its on-chain Dapps with real-world information, making Dapps more useful and relevant to the world. https://t.co/b7BBpmTQw4

In the wake of IOST joining the ‘Big 4,’ this platform has also teamed up with another top-ranking Blockchain middleware, Chainlink. The Blockchain middleware, often called “Oracles,” is designed to allow Blockchain smart contracts free access to main off-chain benefits, which include data feeds, regular bank account payments as well as Web APIs.
The Chainlink-IOST partnership will see developers looking to create cross-chain DApps do so with ease. Ideally, Oracles will serve as a bridge and effectively allow data exchange between the real world and the vibrant Blockchain industry. Its importance in the DApps space will be of an even bigger significance, especially regarding IoT, gambling, package tracking, Insurance, and many other industries.
IOST’s Growth Is Unbelievable
IOST is now among the four largest Blockchain platforms, others being Ethereum, Tron, and EOS. One great feature with IOST, though, is how it mainly focuses on the fast-growing world of DApp development. Architects of this platform primarily see DApp as being the heart and soul of a healthy, vibrant Blockchain ecosystem in the future.
At the moment, the IOST mainnet has 15 Dapps already up and running, all of them boasting thousands of active, vibrant users. IOST isn’t done yet, given the fast-growing transaction volumes and how quick the DApp platform is expanding. Developers, eager to create DApps that are ready for the current world, are flocking the platform en-masse.
Chainlink’s Fortunes Are Rising Too
IOST chose Chainlink for a partner given the latter’s world-class decentralized oracle solution. In fact, several other companies, including Accord, Polkadot (Web 3), Streamr, and Ocean Protocol, rely on this famous Blockchain middleware. And so, for IOST to opt for them, it merely shows how great it is in the industry.
IOST mainly expects to use Chainlink in its quest to create a totally decentralized Blockchain platform. For this blockchain platform, having a stable relationship with a brand that’s widely recognized for its excellence is excellent. MIT Technology Review, Forbes and the Wall Street Journal are some of the many authority publications that have already written on Chainlink.
