IOTA Foundation Announces Director of Human Resources Daniela Faustino


IOTA Foundation has been on the forefront in hiring some of the best talent in the cryptocurrency field in the last few months of the year. The month of October is barely into the second week and the Foundation has added three new faces to its development team; Daniela Faustino (October 5th), Cara Harbor (October 3rd) and the latest addition, Thibault Martinez on Monday this week.

Through the quality hiring processes of IOTA Foundation, they were able to find a new Director of Human Resources — Daniela Faustino. She will be based in the Berlin HR offices while handling all the matters arising from the Foundation.

Daniela Faustino – “A Proven Leader In Developing Human Potential”

Daniela Faustino is one of the well-known business executives and a senior leader and team member in crafting a strategic vision, driving growth and implementing cost optimized programs across multiple geographies. She has experience in the HR field having worked across different companies in Asia for the past 25 years building teams and an organizational capacity where she worked.

The new director of HR will be based in the IOTA Foundation offices in Berlin, Germany and as a German native, her co-operation with the team members will help the blockchain enterprise move further forward. This represents her first job in the internet 4.0 world and she is keen to embrace the blockchain field as she feels excited by IOTA’s general project. Speaking on her unveiling as the new Director of HR, Faustino said,

“When I first learned about IOTA, this was a totally new world for me, and I still feel as being in the future. I am very excited to join IOTA and being part of developing culture, values, structures, policies, and processes with the IOTA Foundation. I feel very inspired to be part of a very dynamic, open and advanced team, which is ahead of our times and can change the world way beyond digital aspects.”

Her main duties at the Berlin-based firm will include hiring, onboarding, compensation and benefits, developments, exits, and mediations.

Insights On Daniela Faustino

The new position in IOTA Foundation represents a new challenge to Daniela as it is her first job in the blockchain industry. However, this in no way diminishes her prowess in the job as she has developed human talent for the organizations she has worked with, built teams and organized resources in senior leadership roles to create a strategic vision for her employers, as well as help drive growth and implement cost-optimized programs across many regions.

Achievements And Work History

Daniela first started her work in South East Asia and Great China where she worked for ABB and Greenfield operations before moving to Hong Kong. She worked a solid 13 years at Elka Pieterman Group, a Dutch supplier in the household appliance industry before staying three more years in Hong Kong working for Neumann Partners and Kelly Services. This increased her network web across the corporate field, a massive boost to her current position.

Her major journey in the HR field came while working for a German-based firm in Singapore, Kienbaum. The company is a HR consultancy and executive research company. Serving as the Managing Director she has worked with a number of companies in South East Asia to provide better HR strategies, talent acquisition and development while creating leadership development centers and assessment centers.

Finally, Daniela worked as Head of Human Resources in South East Asia managing 420 people across six countries in the region with FESTO HR strategy and operations.

She is now an IOTA Foundation Director of HR in Berlin offices. All the best Daniela Faustino!
