IOTA (mIOTA) Trinity Wallet 0.4.0 Releases With New Features Included
Within hours of the release of Trinity wallet’s latest features, the Redditors initiated a discussion on the topic and most of them thought it was “fancy”. The recent updates include some additions and a number of fixes plus enhancements in the existing features.
The technical details indicate that this title given by the Redditors might be true to some extent. The node change button on the app has been updated and light and dark theme color are fixed. An alert is now generated by sending an unsuccessful transaction to the Tangle and the chart precision in USD/EUR has been changed to 3 decimal places. Error log can now be scrolled smoothly and all themes have been updated.
However, there are other changes that will improve the functionality of the app. The users can now view the full transfer amount on the history page. Manual rebroadcast can be removed easily and there is a new UI for updating the biometric authentication setup. The new features will improve several parameters like the tryte conversion and address generation. Promotion errors with IRI 1.5.0 have also been fixed and there will be no crashes when users try to back up seed on Android 6.0. The amount precision issue that previously considered valid amounts as invalid will no longer affect the users.
The address reversal bug and the invalid signature bug have been removed. The new additions comprise of the option to add the amount to the QR code of receiver, more complex password setting and the default setting of requiring face ID or fingerprint on logout due to inactivity. When users are sending to themselves, two transaction items will be displayed now… sent and received. The transition snapshot will have an address bar and the date and time settings can be formatted according to the locale settings.
In the initial release of the wallet, the following features were included:
- Updated IOTA values in several currencies
- Seed protection by encryption and two-factor authentication
- Multiple account access with the same password
- Equipped to support 35 languages
In the 30th April update this year… many cross-platform features were fixed including the missing manual promotion error strings and missing snapshot transition error strings.
The phrase “when trinity” had been very common among the community of the potential users of Trinity as it took good time for the developers to make the app available to them. And then it has been followed by two audits prior to its full release. One of the representatives from the company remarked that they had underestimated the time required to complete the task since its inception and that caused the delay.
