IOTA Qubic’s QLite Releases Tangle Farm Decentralized mIOTA Game
On July the 27th, a new gaming module known as ‘Tangle Farm’ was released by Qubic Lite. According to Qubic Lite, this is the first qApp in the market and decentralized IOTA game. It is important to mention that a 19-year-old German computer science student developed Qubic Lite, a community that aims to implement the Qubic Protocol – which is an imitation of IOTA’s Qubic.
The information has been released on Twitter by Qubic Lite saying:
Finally! 🥂🍾The very first qApp and decentralized IOTA game "Tangle Farm" (more info on https://t.co/W3JHRVT0vs) has been successfully tested in a 3 player session, showcasing the capabilities of the Qubic Lite protocol. 😍 pic.twitter.com/1peWq5D9sS

Qubic is a computing platform that has been built and designed to create complex IoT applications, a new and modern type of smart contracts. With it, it is possible to collect micro-payments in real time, and introduce a reward system that would incentivize honest participation in the IOTA’s system.
The Tangle developed by IOTA works in a very different way from the blockchain. And Qubic has been specifically designed for it. The Tangle is built on DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph), which is a ledger for storing transactions. This is different to the system that works with conventional ‘blocks’ like in Bitcoin (BTC). When a user wants to make a transaction two random and previous transactions need to be approved.
The IOTA Qubic team created a programming language that is known as Abra and allows developers to implement Qubic.
According to IOTA, Abra is:
“Abra is trinary-based because trinary systems can provide significant energy savings, a crucial consideration for IoT devices. One trinary digit, a trit, can represent 1.58 bits. The amount of wiring necessary for a trinary system can, therefore be reduced to about 64% of an equivalent binary system, resulting in a corresponding energy reduction.”
QLite is the temporary solution until the official release of Qubic, that needs to be initiated by IOTA. Qbic Lite creators consider it to be a good solution for those developers that are enthusiastic about the release of Qubic and the implementation of QApps.
