Israeli Blockchain Association Shows Unprecedented Startup Growth, ICO Skipped by Most

Roman Gold, the founding partner of the Israeli Blockchain Association recently spoke about the blockchain industry in Israel. Gold points out that the country’s blockchain industry is currently experience a boost and a transformation. He stated:

“We see unprecedented growth among blockchain startups, but on the other hand, many of them are skipping ICOs in favor of equity financing. Today there are fewer startup founders coming out of morally questionable markets, such as Forex, binary trading, and gambling. Instead, more institutional players are starting to enter the market. Thus, the market is going through self-purification.”

Many Israeli blockchain startups are Fintech companies and many are also in the Protocols/Core Infrastructure sector. In addition, the security sector’s blockchain startups are increasing as well.

Gadi Isaev, a managing partner at the Israeli Blockchain Association added,

“Israel has a good chance to strengthen the Startup Nation brand, as well as become the Blockchain Nation. This is happening thanks to effective regulation and the close cooperation of many blockchain startups with education and academic research organizations.”

The Israeli Blockchain Association projects that the amount of blockchain startups in Israel will double in 2019 and it also believes that academic structures will take more o f a role in startup companies, thereby helping them increase.
