It’s “Inevitable,” says WallStreetBets as it Finally Allows Daily Crypto Discussions in its Subreddit
For now, the discussion in the subreddit with 9.8 million members is only limited to three cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE).
Even WallStreetBets can’t afford to ignore Bitcoin anymore.
The subreddit moderator finally announced that they now allow discussion of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin in a daily Crypto discussion thread. The group had a “no Cryptocurrency” rule that forbade posts related to anything about crypto and the underlying technology.
But now, “I don’t see the point in delaying the inevitable anymore as crypto is here to stay,” reads the post from moderator “bawse1.”
The moderator said the main concern with allowing crypto discussions was that it overtakes the core of what their subreddit is about, which is the stock market, but they also knew “at some point that r/wallstreetbets will have to find a place for it.”
The discussion, however, has been limited to only three cryptos, BTC, ETH, and DOGE in a daily Crypto discussion thread as to not burden everyone with crypto spam. BTC 1.69% Bitcoin / USD BTCUSD $ 50,583.61

“Just to be clear, we are not a crypto subreddit. We're just trying to find a place for you guys within our subreddit,” concludes the post.
Created in 2012, the subreddit that 9.8 million degenerates and was recently in the news for the frenzy its users created in video game retailer GameStop Corp.’s stock.
