Jack Dorsey’s Square Crypto Is Looking For a Designer to Make Bitcoin Accessible for Everyone
Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter and Square, has decided to create an app that will let people use cryptos in their daily lives, Square Crypto, but you probably already know that. What you may not know is that he is looking for a designer right now.
How to find the perfect designer? Well, Dorsey decided to follow a different route. Instead of doing what most people would and creating a job post on LinkedIn or something like that, he did a blog post called
“Designed Bitcoin for Everyone”.
On the article, it is said that Square is looking to support BTC for a while now, but in order for that to happen, they need a concise design vision for the token. The person the company is looking for will help to define the design vision behind the hottest crypto asset of the market and help to make it mainstream.
By working with the Square Crypto team, the person is said to be engaging with the crypto community and make progress. Square believes that user experience is very important when it comes to creating a service. Without a good one, any service will probably not achieve the greatest results because people will not be eager to use it.
With a great design and user experience behind the project, more people will start to use crypto. After that, other people will hear about how easy it is to use BTC and will start, too. At least, this is what Square and Dorsey defend.
How To Make Crypto Popular?
The truth is just a little bit more complicated than that. A good user interface will not make crypto popular alone. The truth is that several factors come at play. Several regulators affirm that only criminals use Bitcoin, but the truth could not be further from that.
Who actually use Bitcoin the most are traders and speculators. Unfortunately, there are few actual developers who are into blockchain right now, which is why they are so valuable. Most of the users are either traders or people who decided to speculate on this volatile market and this is acknowledged by Square.
This is why Square made such a lengthy post in order to decide who should be hired. Talent is rare and it is being acquired by giants such as IBM, Microsoft, Amazon and now Facebook as well, as the company is planning the start of its Libra project.
Silicon Valley is slowly but surely rushing in getting all the talent out there, so this is the time not only to hire the right people but to create more experts as well.
Are you an expert designer? If you are, then Square might be looking for you.
