Jeff Garzik Claims Dave Kleiman was Bitcoin’s Satoshi Nakamoto but Just How Wrong Is He?
One of the most significant contributors of the bitcoin codebase plus the lead developer of the BitPay, Jeff Garzik, has gone ahead to explain to Bloomberg who he thinks is the actual real Satoshi Nakamoto.
We have a lot to thank Jeff Garzik even though he is not in the news as often, as he has been considered to be one of the earliest code developers in the market for the bitcoin network. He was able to write code for this very famous network just at the back of his parked RV. He started this from a simple blog he read on virtual currency back in 2010.
From his hard work he was able to be the third most significant contributor within the code network, this is in a 4-year streak. Between the years 2010 to about 2011, Garzik was in communication with Satoshi Nakamoto, an individual who has been considered to be a mysterious man behind the successful bitcoin token. They would communicate through the Bitcoin talk forum and the private emails.
But in 2011 Nakamoto just vanished with no warning, and from this point, Garzik has been able to cultivate some theories on the person he has been talking to those past years.
The Theory Of Garzik
Garzik goes ahead to say that the Bitcoin coder was in fact a very intelligent man, the only thing he was not classically trained as a software engineer. His opinion is that he could be Floridian Dave Kleiman, as everything seems to be matching his coding style.
In 2013 is when Dave Kleiman passed away, he was a former police detective plus soldier. In the year 1995, he got paralyzed after being in a motorcycle accident, and this was when he started working on the concept of computer forensics, this was for the Palm Beach Sheriff’s office that was located in Florida. And from this, all accounts have been able to point back to Kleiman as being a brilliant man, one who excelled in whatever he got into.
His estate is currently engaged in a lawsuit that is against the Craig Wright for seizing billions of dollars of Bitcoin plus several intellectual properties that belonged to Kleiman. For some individuals, Wright has been speculated to be the famous Satoshi, plus the face of the new bitcoin cash forks currency.
Some Of The Famous Contenders To Be The Famous Satoshi
From the choices presented Dave Kleiman seems to be the less popular choice for those individuals who are speculating on who Satoshi could really be. While the whole concept might not be a team of different developers rather than just having one individual, many of the people within the crypto community believe that some programmers like Adam Back and Nick Szabo could have been involved.
Szabo has been considered to be an expert in the concept of cryptography together with computer science, who has also been credited with the coining term smart contract. But with all this, he is still explicitly denied to be the famous Satoshi.
When we look into Back, he is a British cryptographer plus the CEO of the great Block stream. He is responsible for the development of the Hashcash protocol, plus Satoshi has also cited him on the Bitcoin Whitepaper. And if you are to follow the progress of Bitcoin, you will notice he did not contribute to the source code.
The Mystery Of Who Satoshi Is Remains
We have reached that point where guessing who the famous Satoshi could be is getting tiring. It actually does not matter that much, but his identity seems to remain a pang of hunger within the crypto community.
