Joe Rogan, Alex Jones Reunite on Podcast as Info Wars Star Talks $5 Million Bitcoin Deal by George Soros
George Soros Offered $5 Million to Alex Jones to Pump Bitcoin
The popular conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has been talking with Joe Rogan on his podcast on February 27. There were more than 3.3 million views and he said very interesting things about different issues. The live stream took more than four hours.
During the conversation, he said that he has been offered $5 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) back in 2011 with the intention to pump the most popular virtual currency. Jones explained that he did not accept this offer.
The conversation started with different conspiracy theories and discussing how the world is going to be changing in the future. George Soros, the recognized investor, has always been linked to conspiracy theories such as large events around the world and in recent history. Nevertheless, it seems that Soros has been also trying to manipulate the cryptocurrency market according to Jones.
Jones explained this situation to Rogan:
“I got offered, at the time, like $5 million in Bitcoin – and it was like $38 million by the time it got there). I refused it eigh years ago.”
He linked this with people close to Soros that offered him this money to pump Bitcoin and stop attacking Soros in the media. Although he did not accept the offer, he mentioned that he believes in virtual currencies and he knows what they are trying to achieve. Nevertheless, he said that he is not judging anybody with it, but he is saying to people “be careful.”
Apparently, Soros wanted to increase Bitcoin adoption among Jones followers. Jones has hosts The Alex Jones Show in which he talks about conspiracy theories and fake news as well. Some of the conspiracy topics include George Soros. Nonetheless, the website that he runs, Infowars.com, has been accused of producing fake news and spreading on the internet a large number of conspiracy theories that cannot be backed with real facts.
Bitcoin is the largest digital asset in the market and has been growing during the last years. Back in December 2017, six years after Jones was offered $5 million, Bitcoin skyrocketed up to $20,000, at its all-time high. Since that moment, bitcoin is in a bear market that has affected the whole industry. Now, each BTC can be purchased for $3,800 and it has a market capitalization of $67.5 billion.
