Cryptocurrency influencers, individuals who continuously stand for the crypto sphere, have had a great impact on many investors’ decision-making processes. The expertise levels of said figures typically varies, as it can include celebrities, investors, analysts and much more. To keep the list short and simple, Bithemoth Exchange has come up its respective top five and here is a quick breakdown:
John McAfee is a computer programmer, businessman and crypto specialist who has made controversial headlines to date. Also known for his, McAfee Antivirus and Bitfi Crypto Wallet, McAfee’s tweets have gotten many of his followers attached, as he not only stands strong for the crypto sphere, but also ensures those against the market hear what he has to say. He apparently created the “Declaration of the Freedom of Currency Independence,” which aims to bring an end to traditional currencies.
Russian-Canadian coder and Co-Founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin has made Bithemoth Exchange’s list of cryptocurrency influencers. His interest in Bitcoin was early on, as he supposedly created ‘Bitcoin Magazine’, before diving into the coding aspects of Ethereum. In particular, Buterin’s goal towards Ethereum was founded on the rejection he was faced with when he proposed the idea of a “scripting language for application development.”
Many of his statements have sparked different opinions within the crypto sphere, making for interesting debate topics. His most popular was that centralized exchanges should “burn in hell”, to which many crypto leaders and innovators thought was pushing the limits.
Roger Ver is known as an early investor in crypto startups. Some of the projects that he has supported thus far includes Bitcoin.com, Blockchain.com, Zcash, BitPay, Kraken and Purse.io to name the least. His involvement has led his to become the CEO of Bitcoin Cash, which was forked from Bitcoin.
Changpeng Zhao (CZ) is the CEO of Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange that has reached all-time highs its competitors couldn’t make. More specifically, the outstanding growth that Zhao has been part of was achieved in as little as one year of existence, which is definitely record-breaking. Therefore, Zhao making the list does not come of surprise.
Binance’s native token, BNB has since gained nearly 129 percent in profit as well. Lastly, his presence within the crypto sphere only seems to be natural, given his experience in the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Bloomberg’s Tradebook for futures trading, as per Bithemoth Exchange.
Without the creator of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto, there will not exist a crypto market to begin with. The creator has since detached himself from the Bitcoin project, giving his share of ownership to different individuals to preserve the notion of decentralization. Nakamoto was also the one to initiate Bitcoin’s whitepaper, which enlightened investors on the concept behind digital payments.
Besides Satoshi Nakamoto making the list, the remaining individuals seem to be based off of either their accomplishments and contributions within the crypto sphere or their presence in several social media platforms. Majority of the crypto communities are based off of online platforms, therefore seeing John McAfee on this list makes some sense.
