John McAfee Ousts GemCrypto and Paradigm2070 for $62 Million in Token Scam
John McAfee Accuses Two Crypto Analysts of Stealing $62 Million in Tokens
John McAfee took to Twitter with yet another unusual accusation today. Earlier today, the 72-year old antivirus pioneer turned crypto evangelist tweeted that two crypto analysts had stolen over $62 million in tokens from him.
.@gemcrypto and @paradigm2070, the top conspirators in the theft of over $62 mil in tokens from us, are trying to unload the stolen tokens. They are using https://t.co/Sed3yk0Nmg and HitBTC. Nearly every other exchange is cooperating with us. Why these 2? Are they also involved? pic.twitter.com/w5wsKAIOJA

McAfee attached a picture of the two – Gemma and Luke – along with a picture of Bonnie and Clyde, comparing the two to the famous American bank robbing couple. The image in the tweet spells Bonnie and Clyde like “Bonnie and Cltde.”
Both of the accused individuals are currently active on Twitter. They’re responding to the accusations. Gemma is retweeting tweets making fun of McAfee’s original tweet:
It's just part of the never ending Mcafee show. I left America because our visions and morals with crypto are very different. I've seen too much and they don't want me in the space. I expected something like this. It's like a soap opera! (Tweeted from my prison cell🤦🏼♀️)

Gemma jokingly added that she was tweeting from her “prison cell”.
Luke, meanwhile, claims his Bittrex account has been shut down after the accusation, although he’s confident the matter will be cleared up shortly.

It’s not totally clear who these two are or how they stole $62 million of tokens from John McAfee. McAfee, however, is clearly treating the issue seriously: he claims to have already contacted the FBI and is working with local authorities. Nevertheless, McAfee has “not yet officially filed a formal complaint” because he doesn’t want to see anyone go to prison. Instead, he’s applying “social pressure” in the hopes of getting his money back.
We've been privately working with FBI friends and local authorities. We have not yet officially filed a formal complaint. If possible, I don't want to see people in prison. Applying social pressure to the perpetrators may help. Without their cooperation they will do serious time.

Gemma is a London-based cryptocurrency analyst who appears to have previously worked for John McAfee in some capacity. Her GemCrypto Twitter account has over 17,700 followers. Lately, she’s been uploading her analysis videos to Bit.tube. She’s been active in the crypto community fort he past 18 months.
Gemma, for the record, is completely denying the accusations. She appears to be suggesting that the accusations are the result of a falling out with McAfee’s team:
Randy, with all due respect. I could accuse you of anything in the world. Doesn't mean that it's true. Thank you Mr Anderson. You're right. I didn't steal shit. It keeps up the mayhem that Mcafee likes to perform though. I'm proud of leaving the team.

Luke, meanwhile, has approximately 2,000 followers on his “1 point 21 Ninja Bots” account (@Paradigm2070). We assume he also worked with John McAfee in some capacity – or maybe not. McAfee named Luke as the co-conspirator in the theft of $62 million.
McAfee’s tweet first appeared online four hours ago. He hasn’t added any new information about the case, nor has he clarified how the couple purportedly stole $62 million.
Stay tuned to see where this goes. John McAfee is a wealthy man, but he’s not wealthy enough to ignore the loss of $62 million.
In 2007, McAfee’s net worth reportedly peaked at around $100 million. “Only a tiny fraction of his one-time $100 million net worth survived the 2008 market crash,” however, according to CNN in 2014.
Today, TheRichest reports that McAfee has a net worth of $4 million. If Luke and Gemma genuinely stole $62 million from McAfee, then he’s going to want it back.
