The cryptocurrency exchange HitBTC will be facing a legal complaint by the crypto figure, John McAfee. On July the 10th, Mr. McAfee wrote a tweet in which he says that HitBTC has not responded to his requests.

McAfee Takes Legal Action Against HitBTC

Some weeks ago, John McAfee asked his followers to boycott the crypto exchange known as HitBTC. According to what he wrote that time, the exchange became a centralized authority such as the ones that the virtual currency community is trying to fight against.

He explained that HitBTC has increased the suffering for millions of poor people that cannot afford the minimum buy-in. Indeed, it can even be greater than their monthly income. So after it, he called the crypto community to Boycott the exchange.

After it, and in another tweet he said that he will become the worst enemy of the exchange until it proves that it is aligned with the interests of the crypto community rather than being a centralized authority.

McAfee is fighting governments that take money from people and financial institutions. But now, it has started to attack crypto exchanges that apply high fees and operate in a similar way to financial institutions.

In his latest tweet he says to those who have issues with the exchange can immediately send all the information to [email protected]

HitBTC is one of the most important crypto exchanges in the market according to its trading volume managing $249 million dollars in the last 24 hours. The most important trading pairs are BTC/USDT, BCH/BTC and ETH/BTC.
