Justin Sun of Tron Will Soon Have His Lunch with Warren Buffett, Also Inviting eToro CEO
- Justin Sun was part of a charity auction, winning a lunch with Warren Buffett.
- Sun has invited the CEOs from two other platforms.
Recently, an auction took place that Warren Buffett donated a lunch with himself to bid on. The ultimate winner of this lunch was none other than the founder of Tron, Justin Sun, which is ironic, considering Buffett’s disdain for cryptocurrency as a whole.
Now, in a recent post from Twitter, Justin Sun has invited a friend to join them – Yoni Assia, who is both the founder and CEO of eToro.
I'd like to invite my good friend @yoniassia, Founder & CEO of @eToro, to join my lunch with @WarrenBuffett. 4 days to go and more friends to be announced!

He sent the message in the afternoon on Sunday, and Assia quickly replied, agreeing to come to lunch as a way to help connect:
“the traditional financial world and the new one.”
Justin, it is my honor to join you for lunch with @WarrenBuffett , A big step for bridging between the traditional finance world and the new one !
There is a huge opportunity to use #BlockChainForGood and happy to share our research on @TheGoodDollar with #TheOracleFromOmaha https://t.co/H7oSxO5QRg— Yoni Assia (@yoniassia) July 21, 2019
Along with Assia, Sun ended up inviting Jeremy Allaire, who is the CEO of Circle. To win this lunch, Sun ultimately contributed at $4.57 million donations to the Glide Foundation. He sees it as a way to discuss some important topics, especially cryptocurrency.
The founder has already decided that the lunch would be hosted in San Francisco, which many people see as a power move over Buffett, who is called the Oracle of Omaha. During a blog on Medium, Sun commented,
“I’m a long-term believer (and certainly a big fan) of Buffett and his long-term value investing strategy.”
In April this year, eToro launched a full cryptocurrency exchange through eToroX. At the same time, the founder is presently supporting Good Dollar, an organization that works on
“establishing an economic framework designed to reduce global wealth inequality via UBI-based models.”
