Justin Sun Talks About His Goals For Tron Foundation, Recaps Achievements in First Full Year


From a purely technological viewpoint, Tron is poised to have a spectacular month in July. Among the highlights is the record-breakingly expensive lunch he has organized with renowned billionaire investment mogul Warren Buffett.

Additionally, the BTFS testnet is set to be released which is a uniquely advanced file system protocol that is a fusion of BitTorrent and blockchain. It is a modification of the InterPlanetary FileSystem (IPFS) protocol which is a decentralized file system.

Regarding the future of the foundation, he said:

“In just nine months the team completed 22 updates of the Tron protocol. we have 3.1 million main net addresses and the process 1.5 million transactions requests a day.”

The company is also going to conduct the largest Tron (TRX) token buyback plan so far with the widest coverage in the secondary market, the post reads. The buyback is set to last for a year in the form of several batches totaling $20 million.

TRON has hit numerous milestones, and even set up new records, breaking the old ones, most of which were held by Ethereum. Its dApp development has risen, and the amount of smart contracts on the network is expanding undeviatingly. He also reveals that Tron is currently live on one hundred and thirty-three exchanges through partnerships and this is in addition to the thirty-three wallets operating from different areas across the globe.

Regarding the future of the company, he said:

“We will be founders, builders, and evangelists for a decentralized autonomous ecosystem. As a decentralized and autonomous ecosystem, Tron has already incorporated our resolution into the genesis block.”
