Kik Creates Crypto-Economic Ecosystem With Token Kin
Now, from the Kik messaging application, users can start earning and spending with the Kin cryptocurrency.
Token Kin For Users
Starting today, a limited number of users can earn kinship tokens on Kin Marketplace Beta by taking quizzes, working on tutorials and answering polls. These tokens can also be used to purchase premium themes for the Kik application. The users included in the test can access the market through the application. The company is also developing free customization tools, including themes, for the application in response to user requests.
Kik’s Product Manager, Laura Newton had previously said that she wanted to incorporate Kin into the products that people already use on a daily basis. As such, customized options for your application seemed the perfect choice given the demand.
Blockchain In The App Chat
Kik believes that the consumer's total use of cryptocurrency does not yet exist as such, as the technology has not yet been adapted to everyday’s life. So they wanted to integrate Kin into products that Kik users already use. Accumulating experience in a simple and uncomplicated way.
Kin hopes to become a cornerstone of Kik's product strategy, deepening the functionality of the tokens and giving other partners a good example of how to launch their own Kin economy in their applications. The communication market in which Kik is included will now have the first transaction executed by blockchain.
Kin runs on his own blockchain, which forked from the Stellar mainnet in early 2018. The Kin Foundation announced that it could offer fee-free transactions as long as it uses its own unique network.
The company's latest announcement about blockchain was made a few months after Kin announced that it would work both on the Ethereum network, on which it was originally built, and on the Stellar network, where it planned to move by the end of 2017.
