Kik Crypto Startup Kin Hires New CMO Matthew DiPietro Of Twitch To Boost Brand Marketing
Matthew DiPietro, Former Twitch Exec, Joins Kin as New Chief Marketing Officer
Matthew DiPietro worked with Twitch as an executive for eight years, but that time is over. Instead, Kin Ecosystem Foundation has taken him instead, assigning him the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), according to reports from PR Newswire on September 18th.
DiPietro’s experience with Twitch has prepared him for his new position, where he will be responsible for the creation of new brand and marketing strategies. Based on the report, much of his former position had to do with brand development and marketing projects. In fact, one of the projects he launched was TwitchCon, a community convention that is dedicated to the Twitch streaming service and the culture around video game streaming.
When he started at Twitch in 2010, he was able to create a department where he was in charge of over 40 employees. The workers were focused on the same projects he had headed up already, along with content marketing, creative initiatives, events, and more. Twitch was not officially launched until 2011, and it is presently operated by Amazon after an acquisition worth about $970 million. By 2014, they were accepting Bitcoin through the Coinbase payment processing service on the website.
Now that DiPietro has a new position, he said that,
