Kim Dotcom’s Bitcoin ICO Bitcache – Fast No Fee Scaling Private Blockchain?
Kim Dotcom is back on the bitcoin scene discussing his latest developments in Bitcache.
In a series of recent tweets, he revealed a potential “Bitcoin ICO” possibility of sorts for his private blockchain technology which is centered upon a decentralized content sharing platform.
Bitcache has been working on its own blockchain to solve high fee and scalability issues while still supporting Bitcoin, off-chain.
But our own blockchain is becoming superior to everything else currently out there.
What should we do?

He even wanted to ask the bitcoin cryptocurrency community what direction they thought was best to roll out this ‘vastly superior' blockchain technology that would have scalability in check and be fast with zero-to-low-fee transactions. As you can see, it got plenty of mixed bag reviews and responses from the twitter finger crowd.
With 4 options to choose from and over 8,000 poll results submitted, here's the survey:
- Compete With BTC (Bitcoin), BCH (Bitcoin Cash), etc (24%)
- Off-chain support for BTC (30%)
- Off-chain support for all (15%)
- No ask me. no comprende (31%)
There was no lack of trolling comments and memes plastered all over from the bitcoin loyalists leading the way. The notion of a Bitcoin ICO is a bit of a oxymoron, but the drift is duly noted that Kim is trying to get a feel for how he should roll out his superiorly advanced technology to either work off-chain or his own chain once Bitcache is ready.
Some will outright call it a shitcoin or altcoin if polite, others will know that bitcoin initial coin offering is counter-intuitive and nearly defies the very nature and core of the meaning of bitcoin vs ICOs. However, with a fragmented community and internal implosion of politics going on with Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash, you never know who at this point will come out on top. It is great to see Kim Dotcom weighing options and being outspoken, trying to be a glue guy vs a community politician.
I’ve always been a great supporter and promoter of #Bitcoin. Anyone who misinterprets my tweets or suggests otherwise is wrong. Bitcoin will continue to evolve and reach a trillion $ market cap. Bitcache will solve scalability & fee problems. I’d prefer a Bitcoin ICO. But how? 😬

While Kim has been labeled many things in his famous endeavors, one thing remains consistent is that he cares about what he produces and seems to have a big vision where everyone can share, use and get value from even if by having a questionable past.
One thing worth noting on a developing story is that Kim does seem to enjoy the cryptocurrency world and has been a long time advocate of it.
The best case scenario for the world would be one perfect crypto currency for all. High speed transactions, low fees, smart contracts, truly decentralized with democratized forks and built-in protections to prevent banks, corporations & governments from taking control. #Goals

That's probably enough Kim Dotcom's tweeting for now, but from the looks of it there will be much more to come from the Bitcache camp in the near future along with his Internet replacement MegaNet.
