Neufund is planning to launch an STO on December 9. It has decided with Ledger, a leader in the hardware wallets arena to make this a reality. The partnership between Ledger and Berlin-based Neufund will be used to ensure the safety of digital assets. Neufund will soon launch an STO on December 9 and this deal will support the technical aspects of this STO.
The Goal Of The Partnership
Neufund wants to create an end-to-end service for tokenization of physical assets. It will also include storage options as part of the adoption of crypto security tokens. According to the CEO of Neufund Zoe Adamovicz, the current Ledger wallets are the safest way to manage investments done via the Neufund protocols. He added that making it possible for investors to manage ERC20 tokens via a desktop app would disrupt how people interact with crypto assets.
How It Was In The Past
In past times, major Neufund investors have gotten special Nano-S hardware wallets. This extra security layer is important for STOs to gain attention from mainstream investors. The ERC20 tokens can be accessed via other wallets. However, theft of private keys and phishing can, at times, lead to huge loses that cannot be recovered.
The Ledger CEO Eric Larchev ê que said that they were excited by this latest development. He added that it was a new and important chapter in bringing security tokens to Ledger. The CEO said that they were happy to be doing this with Neufund, which was a leader in the tokenization of assets and issuance of security tokens.
The minimum investment for those who take part in the Neufund STO will be 100,000 EUR because of requirements of the financial regulators in Germany. This will not just create a door for building a platform for STOs of other projects; it will also offer potential buyers full transparency.
In recent times, Extauri, the security tokens platform based in Europe, launched DESICO, another project that finished in first round STO. They managed to sell digital tokens of that company with all securities laws.
Past Neufund Partnerships
Besides Ledger, Neufund has made other partnerships. For instance, they recently collaborated with BitBay to enable investors to buy and sell equity tokens using fiat. With the partnership, Neufund was aiming to be the first end-to-end platform for the issuance of security tokens.
The company is interested in the security tokens industry due to a study by Polymath. In the study, it was claimed that by 2020, the STO market would be worth $10 trillion. The company has a belief that tokenized securities offer the liquidity needed by traditional assets. The BitBay partnership came after they announced a partnership with Binance. They also announced they would work with the Malta Stock Exchange.
Ledger is a company known mainly for supplying hardware wallets to the crypto world. The company was created in 2014 and has grown a lot since. Now they offer both hardware and software security solutions for individuals and companies in the crypto sphere.
