While feelings regarding initial exchange offerings (IEOs) have been mixed since their very inception, there is no denying that this unique fundraising method is here to stay. From a technical standpoint, we can see that IEOs operate primarily within secondary markets — as a result of which many of their associated tokens have recently skyrocketed in value (while some have fizzled out completely).

“At least 15 exchanges which have either started supporting IEOs or announced that they are developing an IEO concept.”
Also, it should be pointed out that recently, crypto exchange platforms such as Binance, Kucoin, Huobi, and ZBG have hosted a number of IEOs that have been met with amazing investor response. In fact, these offerings are expanding so quickly that it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep track of new launches taking place on an almost daily basis.
Lastly, in terms of their performance, we can see that the ROIs and all-time highs (ATH) of this years best-performing IEOs have been nothing short of remarkable.

Other Key Stats Worth Pointing Out
- Owing to the fact that IEOs are still relatively new in the market, the total no. of concluded sale events within this domain are still low (especially when compared to other established fundraising mediums such STOs, ICOs, etc).
- ZGB and Binance have been able to conduct the 1st, 2nd largest IEOs respectively till date.
- At press time IEOs issued by Kamari (KAM), Huobi Prime and Global Trading System have incurred gains of over 5 times. In the same breath, Bittrex Intl, had to cancel its first IEO due to certain technical reasons (however, its following sale event sold-out in just 10 seconds).
