Lightning Torch Arrives in Iran Proving Bitcoin is Empowering Censorship Resistance Value Transfer
Bitcoin is empowering the world to get connected by eliminating the borders and censorship as #LNTrustChain Torch reaches Iran while lightning network keeps on growing.
LN Trust Chain Makes It To Iran Despite Censorship
The Lightning Torch has been passed all over the world involving some big names and organization such as Fidelity Digital Assets. However, one of the exemplary relaying has been made by Lightning Torch as it crossed the borders of heavily sanctioned country Iran.
The torch bearer Zuya Sadr, Coinex executive, took to Twitter to express why Bitcoin is such a big deal and holds an immense potential to change the world.
We have always been censored from both sides, Sanctioned globally, and censored locally by our own gov. #Bitcoin will lead the way in censorship resistance and I'll pass the torch to other people who help the world resist censorship!

“We here in Iran constantly face brutal Bans from foreign services (money confiscated, broken businesses, denied access or services). I've never had a transaction pass the borders of Iran until bitcoin came to existence. bitcoin now empowers us to get connected back to the world.”
Sadr further shared that the censorship resistance trend should keep on going and the next bearer of torch should be the Bitcoiners from Israel or North Korea. He also thinks the Wikileaks founder Edward Snowden or people who helped with privacy on Bitcoin should be the ones to hold the torch next.
Lightning Network Growing
Meanwhile, lightning network, the second layer on Bitcoin is constantly reaching new peaks as according to the data provided by 1ML, its network capacity has crossed 700 BTC, 741 BTC to be exact. In the last 30 days, it has increased 18 percent reaching $2.75 million, at the current BTC price.
The capacity of the #LightningNetwork increased more than 30% in February and recently crossed $3,000,000 for the first time.@Jack getting passed the "Lightning Torch" is the start of “early adoption”.

Meanwhile, Blockstream, the blockchain development company recently released an upgraded version of Lightning Network called c-lightning. The support for plugins is one of the most salient features of its upgrade that will allow developers to build their own applications on top of Lightning Network.
“Plug-ins further strengthen our commitment to becoming the most flexible, extensible, and customizable implementation of the Lightning Network specification. They enable us to stay focused on the core functionality, while at the same time empowering users and developers to add their own functionality to integrate c-lightning into their environment.”
