Cryptocurrency exchange BITBOX, a division of Japanese-based LINE Corporation, has exclusively announced the introduction of LINK (LN) to facilitate the payment of trading fees on the platform.
LINE had earlier listed LINK on the Bitbox exchange service, to make it available for trade through the three digital tokens on offer: Bitcoin, Tether, and Ethereum. The limited number of cryptocurrency is due to the dynamic nature of review that each cryptocurrency has to undergo before getting approved.
The crypto company also intends to upgrade the trading fees with a discount offer of 20% to generate user traffic and interest in the platform. Unfortunately, only users who pay using the LINK token. This offer will remain open till December 31.
What Else Is On Offer?
With the addition of LINK, BITBOX expects to offer additional rewards to improve the experience of trading using the cryptocurrency. In the apparent decision, users have until December 5 to receive BTC reward based on their cumulative trade volume.
The cumulative trading volume reveals three models of criteria to accommodate both high-end and individual crypto investors by using the following structure:
- A cumulative trading volume of USD 150,000 or more receives BTC worth USD70
- Less than USD 150,000, but from USD 50,000 receives BTC worth USD 25
- Less than USD 50,000, but from USD 20,000 receives BTC worth USD 10
By its expansion and growth, BITBOX crypto exchange confirmed the addition of EBCoin, a token already trading against the Bitcoin. The EBCoin project aims to enhance the tax refund process for travelers throughout the world.
With the addition of EBCoin, BITBOX plans to celebrate through some events until the scheduled launch date. For starters, the crypto firm plans to give out 220 million worth of EBCoin through a bonus for the first 2,000 users to register on the BITBOX exchange.
An EBC deposit bonus, trader airdrops and the EBC trading competition are also part of the extra additions scheduled before the launch date.
Lastly, BITBOX has finally lived up to its promise and is making an iOS app available for its digital asset exchange. Back on November 6th, BITBOX launched its Android app version that optimizes the mobile environment to enhance the crypto user experience.
Potential For Growth
Despite its popularity in the Asian Market, LINE and BITBOX remain far below its western competitors in the number of users.
For example, LINE would have to deal with social media giants such as Facebook and Whatsapp before making any significant impact in this field. The exchange would also have to compete with cryptocurrency exchange heavyweights such as Binance to remain competitive in the crypto world.
LINE is a Japanese-based messaging giant that has become one of the first companies to launch a proprietary blockchain network with its cryptocurrency, LINK (LN). As part of its token economy, LINE intends to develop channels that will allow users to get rewarded and paid using LINK. Already, LINK is the line for acquisition through trading on the BITBOX cryptocurrency exchange.
