Litecoin (LTC) Becomes “The Official Cryptocurrency Partner of UFC 232: JONES VS GUSTAFFSON 2”


It is safe to say that there have been many different use cases for cryptocurrency as mainstream industries apply it. Cryptocurrency has been used to purchase everything from more tokens to pizza, but Litecoin just gained some publicity with a new annoucement of their ties to the UFC>

In a post by the Litecoin Foundation, the platform said,

The post continues, acknowledging the success that Litecoin has seen this year with many other brands and companies. However, they see a few reasons that their token is perfect for the UFC right now. The first point they bring up is their community progress. UFC started as a small movement, but expanded to what it is now, much in the same that that Litecoin started small.

At this point, Litecoin brings to like another significant factor, which is in their ability to sponsor the UFC for the first time of any coin. As other non-crypto entities take note, this could be another sign that technology is moving along at a positive pace for the whole industry. Furthermore, the millions of viewers in the audience will see the LTC logo across the canvas, which will hopefully cause a conversation for newbies to cryptocurrency.

Overall, this new endeavor will positively affect everyone involved. As Litecoin wrote,

“We look forward to the possibility of doing some amazing things with this incredible organization.”

The UFC fight Is scheduled for December 29th as a Pay-Per-View special.
