Livingston Trials IBM-Backed Global Shipping Initiative TradeLens Blockchain with Canada’s CBSA
Livingston International Inc. has just gone ahead to announce their formal participation in the new blockchain enabled global shipping initiative by the TradeLens.
Additionally, it also announced its recent inclusion in the comprehensive pilot that is involving the CBSA, which is also referred to as the Canada Border Services Agency.

It has been established as a digital shopping solution that is blockchain enabled, one that has been jointly developed by the A.P Moller-Maersk together with the IBM. All this was to ensure that they are able to promote a more efficient and secure global trade.
The system has been designed in a way it is able to limit the errors that occur in logistics; thus, this will be able to improve on the transit times, reduce the instances of fraud taking place and being able also to mitigate the risks.
The Livingston platform is expected to serve as the very first customs broker that will be able to leverage on the TradeLens platform to enjoy the brokerage automation feature. In the pilot, Livingstone central role is to enter and access the information that has been provided on shipment and also be able to streamline the current internal procedures without having to comprise the level of security and accuracy in the transactions.
As for the CBSA, it will also be participating in the pilot been run by TradeLens; they are to determine on what kind of role the platform will be expected to play in the business processes it will carry out.
