- Blockchain-based social media platform Voice to use Voice tokens
- EOSIO 2 in the cards with EOS VM code coming up to make “the fastest, most scalable and most useable blockchain software in the world”

June 1st finally arrived and the company behind EOS, Block.one announced what took the price of the cryptocurrency to $8.45 on May 30th only to drop down to $6.8 and then yet again the rise to $8.6 on May 31st, just a day before the announcement. However, since announcing the launch of blockchain-based social media platform called Voice, the price has dropped to $7.5.
Currently, EOS/USD is trading at $7.88 with 24-hours loss of 4.85 percent, only top cryptocurrency in the red except for Bitcoin SV.
What if you could decentralize social media more than steemit? The future of social media is thousands of blockchains under independent governance coordinating with inter-chain communication behind a seamless user experience.

According to the claims made by the firm, the platform will use the EOS blockchain to provide transparency on how exactly it operates without any hidden content pushing mechanisms.
Comparing Voice with the traditional social media platforms, the CEO of Block.one, Brendan Blumer said,
“The truth is, current social media platforms are designed to use their users. Just look at the business model. Our content. Our data. Our attention. These are all incredibly valuable things. But right now, it’s the platform, not the user, that reaps the reward.”
#Voice will powered by a smart contract running on the #eos blockchain . Users will not require ram or cpu to use it because https://t.co/jdpDWauwAg uses its eos to acquire those resources on behalf of voice users.

The platform will use Voice tokens that would apparently have the “fairest token distribution in the world.”
“On Voice, you don’t need to have a million followers to have your voice heard. You can use your VOICE tokens instead,”
said Daniel Larimer, CTO of Block.one.

Apart from Voice, EOSIO 2 is also in the plan that will introduce EOS VM that will increase the speed of executing the smart contracts on the EOSIO blockchain.
“EOSIO 2 for us and the community, is just the next step in making EOSIO, the fastest, most scalable and most useable blockchain software in the world.”
#Eos vm code will be released soon. This is the first step in our journey to multithreaded execution.

While EOS has launched its own social media platform, Facebook is working on its payment-focused cryptocurrency, Globalcoin. Per Diar’s recent study, the social media giant will face a demographic challenge as its user base is aging.
Moreover, Block.one has also joined Coinbase Earn Program, an educational offering by one of the biggest cryptocurrency platform that lets users take courses on particular crypto in exchange for a small payment to be made in the coin they are learning about.
Recently, we also reported EOS partnering up Tether to launch USD-pegged stablecoin USDT on the EOS blockchain.
